And speaking of lists, I decided to start making one about all the little things that bug me. Things that really shouldn’t bug me, but do. A quick mental scroll revealed an unreasonable amount of things already occupy this list. Which I find troubling. Maybe putting them down here will unburden me of them. Or maybe I’ll get bored of this exercise by number 12. Either way, let’s get started with three things that have been bugging me this week.
1. That Lena Dunham’s character was eating a cupcake in the bathtub on the first episode of Girls. And not in a romantic, bubble-bath-and-champagne kind of way. Who does that? Also, when I was a kid my mom told me that bringing food into the bathroom is a sin. (She maintains that throwing bread in the garbage and ironing on Christmas are also sins.)
2. The proliferation of children using Razors as an acceptable means of conveyance on the sidewalks of New York City. Using your big boy feet decreases your chances of ramming into mine.
3. The proliferation of parents using said Razors as an acceptable means of conveyance. It seems kinda lazy. And it makes me wonder if you have a Selena Gomez poster on your wall. (I’m talking to you, Hugh Jackman’s wife.)
